In this piece, contours are extracted from slicing the body like a topography. They are then manipulated to conform to the shape of the 3D scan of its maker. By abstracting descriptive scans and abstracting them to wave patterns, this brooch illustrates the maker’s perception of the fundamental units and laws that govern the operation of this world – the universe as waves and the tangible as their landscape.
